This was the first fuselage I built for a customer when I owned
RC Systems circa 1988. Schluter Champion, RCS Airwolf |
 |
My first electric heli, brushed motor. Not a real hot number
but fun for the day, circa 1990 |
| |
Mikado Logo 10 - Originally flown on 12 cell Nicads but has
REALLY come to life on 5 cell LiPolys. Hacker B50-15L motor and Schulze speed
controller. Still fly this regularly, bought in 2003 |
 |
My favorite heli over the years. I put alot of fuel through the
ole Schluter Scout. You see MANY different versions on this page, one per major
crash! I was a Schluter field rep at this time, circa 1995 |
 |
My trusty lefty Futura Gold with Sitar blades (cool) ,
purchased right after the Scout. I loved that canopy - painted by Bill Davis a
real airbrush wiz. Tail rotor failure put an end to this chopper |
 |
Another shot of the Scout with my at that time new JR PCM10Sx2
radio. I was wowwed by that radio (still have it!) |
 |
This was the first fuselage that I built for myself. Strictly a
show model for RC Systems, I still have it. RCS Jet Ranger, Champion mechanics.
I really love Jet Rangers. I also really pigged out at Taco Bell during the
building (but they wouldn't sponsor me, the peckers) can you tell??? |
 |
This is the model my Scoutura wound up in. A Kalt Bell 222 with
working retracts currently owned by Gayl Rotching...beautiful! |
 |
Circa 1994 - Kysho Nexus w/OS 32 motor. Traded my vacuum former
for this model. I didn't keep it too long but flew the hell out of it while I
had it. Not the greatest 30 I ever flew but capable. |
 |
My trusty Raptor 30 circa 1999. This was probably my second
most flown heli. I learned inverted on this puppy. Just a great little
thirty...was sad to let it go but moved on to the Scedeaus to try something
new. Would still buy one today! |
 |
Light Machine LMH 100 with Cox 1/2A motor. Loud and messy and a
bit of a handful to fly without collective but fun to play with.
Indestructable! |
 |
Hirobo Scedeau 30 circa 2002. OS 32...one of my favorite 30 size
helis, currently in the stable as a regular |

No 5 - Zoom Zoom 4D. Bob sold this to John who gave it to me
when he upgraded to a Yak. Are you seeing a trend here yet (-: Axi motor on 3
sell Li Poly (guts from Genie below). A little bigger than the Blade and a lot
stiffer. Only have one flight on it so far but like the flight qualities (on a
JR Rx!) |
 |
No 4 - Genie foamie. My buddy Bob gave this one to me. A shitty
Rx caused it to crash three times so it's history but I loved it for the whole
one complete flight I got on it. Axi motor on 3 cell Lipoly |
 |
No 3 - This little foamy plane is a total blast. Brushless outrider
Micro Rotex motor run on 3 cell LiPos. Totally aerobatic but can't fly fast.
Needs more bracing on the rear fuse but I've gotten dozens of flights on it so
far. Flies GREAT indoors. Fairly indestructible...circa 2004 |
 |
No 2 - Sig Scout II Biplane - donated to Air-Anast from Bob B.
Geared brush motor on 2 cell LiPoly. Elevator rudder only and a real slow
flyer. Looks good in the air but not really a ton of fun except to put put
around with. |
 |
No 1 - Yup, I've even taken a stab at airplanes. This is an
ElectroJet, an 8 NiCad cell, brushed pusher motor type with flaperons only. Flew nice
and slow. It was a cast off from my buddy John that I grabbed and glued back together on the
cheap. Crashed it big time after about the 10th flight. Fun while it lasted.
